AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2024

Modified on Wed, 31 Jan at 10:30 AM

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was historically played over three courses and all three rounds with amateurs but has now taken a turn for the better, with the amateurs finishing a day early and an additional round played at Pebble Beach.

Traditionally with a pro-am event, the field is reduced, but this 80-strong field is an elite one with all the top PGA Tour golfers present. Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler head the betting at 10.0, with several other big star names not far behind.

The wet weather forecasted is the first factor to consider when making a pick. Strong winds are also expected, and with a prize fund of $20 million, there is a lot at stake for the pros to perform their best. The other factor is the player's record at Pebble Beach, which brings me to my pick for the tournament.

Jordan Spieth has a fantastic record and loves playing the course. He won the event in 2017 and has had 2nd and tied 3rd finishes in 2022 and 2021, respectively. He achieved T22 or better in nine of his 11 appearances, during which time he has experienced all kinds of weather and wind directions. At 23.0 on 3et, he is well worth a punt.

Prediction: Jordan Spieth @ 21.0 on www.3et.com
