The PGA Tour comes to Ivins, Utah as the Fall Series continues. As the event name suggests the event will be played at the brand-new Black Desert Golf Course which was only opened last year.

At Par 71, 7,371 years the course is a long desert track, boasting generous fairways and greens. As it sits at high altitude the ball will fly further and the course will play a little shorted than its yardage suggests. Water comes into play on 2 holes but all in all players should be able to shoot low scores through the week.

In terms of past winners of desert-based events, you can look back at Nick Dunlap who won the American Express back in January. Other than that, there is little recent data to go off. With an open field where many have a chance, my tip for this event is Patton Kizzire. As a PGA Tour winner last month, I feel that he is finding form at the right time. He was able to follow up this win with a highly respectable tied 11th finish last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship which included 2 bogey-free rounds. Expect him to be in the mix come Sunday. Prediction: Patton Kizzire @ 60.0
