Our soccer tipsters have picked out their best EPL bets for Gameweek 3.
Saturday 31st August
Arsenal vs Brighton
Both teams are looking to continue perfect starts to the Premier League season. TheGunners have won nine of the last 10 home league fixtures and will need this form tocontinue if they want to go one better than last season. Mikel Arteta is facing a trickyfixture list in the coming weeks with Tottenham and Manchester City next, so three morepoints on home soil is vital at this stage. The Seagulls have made a blistering start totheir Premier League campaign and look to be enjoying life under the EPL’s youngestmanager Fabian Hurzeler. I think this will be a very tactical affair and goals will be inshort supply.
Prediction – Under 3.0 @ 2.01

Everton vs Bournemouth
With both teams in need of a confidence-boosting result, the stakes are high at Goodison Park. Everton, rooted at the bottom of the table with zero points and a goal difference of -7, are desperate to kickstart their season, while Bournemouth, sitting in14th with two points look to improve on an abysmal away record in the EPL. AndoniIraola's side have registered just two wins in their last 11 outings on the road along with being dealt six defeats but could not pick a better time to arrive in Merseyside with the home club in turmoil. Everton will not want to lose this game (and the crowd), I see a cagey affair with few goals.
Prediction – Under 2/ 2.5 @2.35

West Ham vs Manchester City
The Hammers will go into this game with confidence after a 2-0 win away to CrystalPalace last weekend. They host a Man City side who have had the perfect start to theseason so far, having recently beaten Ipswich 4-1 with Erling Haaland scoring a hattrick.West Ham have failed to beat Man City in their last 20 attempts, and this seems like anuphill task for them again. The Hammers will likely set up more defensively for this
fixture than they did for their previous 2. With a fully fit side to choose from I expect PepGuardiola’s men to get the win, but the hosts will make it far from easy.
Prediction – Man City to win & under 3.5 goals @1.21

Sunday 1st September
Newcastle vs Tottenham
Both sides enter game week 3 with a win and a draw under their belt though both will bedisappointed with their tally. The Magpies were held to a 1-1 draw away to Bournemouthand scraped past Southampton with 10 men on the opening week. For Spurs it was aJamie Vardy goal that denied them the 3 points at Leicester at the opening week butfollowed up with a comprehensive victory over Everton last weekend. There is nothing to separate these sides on recent head to head with both sides winning3 of their last 6 encounters. The fixture has a history of goals with both teams scoring in the fixture 9 out of 10 times. For me the value is in a score draw.
Prediction: Draw 1x2 and over 1.5 goals @ 4.15

Manchester United vs Liverpool
The first major derby of the season takes places as Manchester Utd host Liverpool this weekend. Back-to-back 2-0 wins sets the visitors in good stead ahead of the clash. Forthe hosts the pressure is on to get a result after a disappointing loss to Brighton lastweekend. Before Ten Hags arrival last year Manchester United have been on the receiving end of 4-0, 5-0 and 7-0 thrashings but the ship has been steadied since with both their last 2premier league meetings ending in a draw. This will be the toughest test of the season so far for Arne Slots men and would likely besatisfied to come away with a point. I think this could be a cagier affair than most are predicting and wouldn’t be surprised if this one lacked in goals.
Prediction: Under 3.0 goals @2.23
