Parental control programmes can help parents and guardians manage what children can access online. Depending on the programme and device, controls may allow you to:

• block gambling websites and apps;
• restrict access to particular websites;
• prevent children from downloading or installing apps;

• set age or content restrictions;
• set screen-time limits; and

Tips for Parents

We recommend that parents and guardians:

• Do not leave your device unattended when your gambling application or site is running.
• Ensure your account is password protected with a secure password and do not save the password allowing it to be autofilled.
• Educate your kids about the legality and potential damage of underage gambling.
• Keep your identity documentation, bank account number and debit/credit card(s) out of reach of children. Do not link your Apple Pay or Google Pay to your betting accounts allowing them to be used with out additional authorisation.
• use a strong password or PIN for parental controls and do not share it with their child;
• block gambling websites and apps where the relevant parental control programme permits this;
• restrict the installation of new apps without parental approval;
• review the child's device and account settings regularly;
• apply controls across all devices that the child can access;
• keep devices and operating systems up to date;
• check that parental controls remain active following device, software or account changes.
